Voting
Withing the United States every citizen in born with the privileged to vote. Throughout someones life they could lose this privilege but majority of Americans can vote. I am in the majority with the ability to vote. In this election I was unable to vote. For the past 4 years I have been a student at Northern Illinois University and lived on or near campus. Currently I am registered to vote in my home town of Highland Park IL. This is because I turned 18 in high school and wanted to vote in the first election I could. So when attempting to vote in Dekalb I was denied the right to vote as my address isn't in Dekalb. This can be solved if I provide proof of address for my Dekalb address. This is tricky as the provided mail needs to be from the government or a bank statement. As previously stated I don't permanently live in Dekalb and will not change the addresses on any of my mail. This leaves me with only one option to drive home. This too was an unrealistic option as I had an exam and large project due that day as voting was on a Tuesday. If I wanted to miss critical assignment I could have paid $30 and drove home but this would hurt my future. Currently this system is in place to prevent people from voting more than once along with other crimes. One solution I heard is to scan someones drivers license and send that information to a data base. This would work but it cant as not everyone has a drivers license or is required to. Although at birth every person is required to have a social social number. This number is unique for every person and everyone in the states has one. This has already been proven as a working form of identification as banks and many government form use this ID number. This system isn't without its flaws but would be a simple way to make voting more accessible with the new database technology.

What is Fire
Within the short video TED-Ed goes into detail about the nature of fire. At the start he addresses a common misunderstanding that fire is a plasma. This was quickly disproves as plasma only occurs at a much higher temperature than wood burns at. In summary fire is doesn't exist and it is just a combination of many sensory organs. Therefore fire is neither a solid, liquid, gas or a plasma. It is just our brains way of interpreting its given inputs. All in all, TED-Ed does a great job of presenting lots of information in quick and easily consumable way.
